Our Club

Set among the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Tongariro National Park, Tauwira offers the chance to stay right on the mountain in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular regions. From skiing and snowboarding in winter to hiking, cycling and exploring the wider Ruapehu region in summer, adventure is waiting in every season.

The lodge sleeps up to 20 people across five comfortable bunk rooms and is ideal for families, groups and individuals. It has a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, a separate downstairs sitting room, bathrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a drying room and a workbench for ski and snowboard repairs. Fully insulated and heated, it is the perfect place to warm up and unwind after a big day outdoors.
